Our Story

A bakery built on the belief that good food should feel like a gift.

Vintage On Second was born from a simple conviction: that the best bread, pastries, and pantry staples come from people who care about ingredients, process, and the hands they serve. Located on 2nd Avenue in the heart of East Harlem, we've become a quiet anchor for our neighborhood — a place where regulars know their usual, where the smell of baking bread arrives before you turn the corner, and where every loaf tells a story.

We bake from scratch each morning using time-honored techniques — long-fermented sourdough, laminated croissants, seasonal fruit tarts. Our grocery shelves carry carefully sourced olive oils, preserved foods, cheeses, and international staples that complement what comes out of our oven. Nothing is rushed. Everything is intentional.

Quality First

We'd rather make fewer things well than many things poorly. Every item earns its place on our shelves.

Community Rooted

We're neighbors first. Our regulars aren't customers — they're the people who make this street feel like home.

Old-World Craft

Traditional methods, patient fermentation, and real ingredients. No shortcuts, no artificial anything.
